And 5 more than stars! This recipe has the best directions I've seen on this site! Remember, this soup is supposed to accept chunks of veggies, so don't get crazy chopping everything into trivial morsels! This makes ALOT of soup...maybe 8 Aztec warriors could shine this off, merely, heck, it go's better every twenty-four hour period. I used 1 beefiness shank and 1 lb of boneless short rib meat cut into i/2 cubes. I love the chayote, simply if you can't detect it, substitute 2 med. zucchini chunked, but don't put this in until y'all add the cabbage or it will over melt. I used 4 chunks of frozen corn-on-the-cob defrosted for the fresh corn. My merely change was to also add 1 8oz. can of lycopersicon esculentum sauce and a packet of Goya Sazon (if you read any of my reviews, it seems to find it's way into near everything). All yous need for a complete meal is corn bread or garlic breadstuff (aye, excuse me for mixing ethnicities, only if it tastes proficient, practice it!!) Thanks again for a fabled recipe and for your attending to detailed instruction!

MY Hubby LOVES THIS RECIPE...But HE EATS It WITH A FRESH JALAPENO DICED FINE TO Add IN TO YOUR Bowl AT SERVING TIME AND A SQUIRT OF LIME IN THE Broth! As well WE USE Tomato plant SAUCE OR FRESH TOMATOES IN Information technology THIS DEPENDS ON THE SEASONS...We DONT USE THE PICKLED JALAPENOS,AND Nosotros Add THE FRESH CILANTRO INTO THE SOUP AND THE END OF COOKING WHILE HEATING Upwards THE CORN TORTILLAS!Just I NEED TO SAY THAT A SPRINKLE OF SALT AND A Squeeze OF LIME ON YOUR TORTILLA Before YOU Curlicue Information technology Upwardly GIVES IT THAT ULTIMATE Gustatory modality OF United mexican states!!!

I LOVE THIS DISH. I ADD GARLIC AND COMINO TO MINE. I ALSO ADD KNOR CONSOMATE FOR A GREATER TASTE. I Also Add ZUCHINI SQUASH TO MINE AT THE END. I Brand A PAN OF MEXICAN RICE FOR A More Accurate Sense of taste. ALSO, DONT FORGET THE CORN TORTILLAS AND THE HOMEMADE MEXICAN SALSA. Absolutely DELICIOSO!!!

Growing upward in a large Mexican family in Texas, this was the "Sunday" soup of my childhood. My grandmother made this every Sunday for the family. We ate it with warm corn tortillas, sliced avacados and fresh salsa. None of us were fond of cilantro or chayote, and so they were never in our caldo pot. Thanks for sharing the recipe...it brings back some wonderful memories!!!
04/08/2008
The butcher recommended beef ribs which turned out amazingly moist and flavorful. This recipe is delicious. Volition be making it again and freezing some this time.
01/25/2008
My husband is mexican and he thought this tasted but like his mom'south (large compliment)! This is a definite saver. This type of soup is actually good with chicken and fish likewise (just change the stock that is used).
06/26/2008
Great recipe, I live in Chicago where nosotros have an affluence of peachy Mexican restaurants, and my pals all think this is the best they've ever had! I used the beef shank bone, just also added 1lb of finely chopped beef. When I added the stock, I besides threw in two cloves of slightly crushed garlic. Instead of using just cold water, I added ii additional cans of stock, 3 cups water, and two packets of tomato & cilantro Sayzon. I'll be making this again and again!
06/23/2009
This is wonderful my husband and his family are from Guadalajara, Jalisco Mexico and i made this and invited them all over. They loved information technology!!! Thanks for the wonderful recipe!
01/01/2007
Very delicious and authentic. I substituted the common salt for 2 cubes of Knorr brand beef bullion cubes. I as well added two big fresh chopped tomatoes instead of the canned ones(since my grandmother used to make information technology that way). I used large chunks of beef stew meat (boneless) every bit well.
09/26/2012
I'm a blackness woman. My husband is Mexican and grew upward in a traditional mexican (food wise) business firm agree. He told me almost a beef soup that his grandma would make and it had squash, corn, tomatoes, etc! So I researched. I institute this recipe and made information technology for him equally a surprise (hoping and praying that it was what he was yearning for. When he tasted this Caldo de Res, he said information technology brought him dorsum to his younger days. He felt that it was only as good as his grandma used to make information technology. He invited his brothers and sisters over and they all loved information technology. This recipe is a keeper for my Mexican! Thanx ALOT!
05/19/2007
I fabricated this for my Spanish class in high school. My instructor liked information technology then much she asked for the recipe. My dad gave it a 10 and he'south tough.
02/22/2010
This recipe is splendid, very authentic! Authentic Caldo de Res is not supposed to be spicy. I used 3 lbs. of beef shank and boiled it for nigh 4 hours until it fell off the bones. Then I scooped out the bones and trimmed almost of the fatty. I sauted two cloves of chopped garlic with the onion and added about i/2 teaspoon of cumin. I used small ears of frozen corn and skipped the chayote and used three potatoes. Next time I think I will throw in a zucchini. I served this with warm flour tortillas, some Mexican rice and homemade chile'. My husband LOVED it! Thanks so much for the swell recipe.

Most excellent soup ! For y'all out there that do not know how to follow a receipe,or use the correct ingredients and then give it a and then so rating...and then claim you are an expert cook......you demand to get back to the nuts. Find another hobby...you are waisting your fourth dimension. I had cypher but raves about this soup.
11/03/2011
This is similar to the caldo recipe that was handed down in my married man's family. The only difference is their recipe doesnt include tomatoes. Very expert on a cold winter day. It is as well easy to brand in a crock pot. Just skip browning the beef and onions if you are in a bustle, throw all the ingredients together into a crock pot and let information technology cook on high for 8 hours.
05/06/2011
This was not good and alot of work!
09/04/2007
Taste just lkie my Favorite resturants version !!!! wonderful on a cold nighttime.
09/28/2010
Amazing 5 start recipe Just please note that I made a few changes of my own. First I used 2-i/2 lbs of beef stew cubed meat instead of the beef shank. I added i/4 tsp garlic powder to the meat as it browned in addition to salt and pepper and I used i tbsp onion powder since my married man doesn't similar onions. I likewise used iii cans of beef broth and a bit of water to cover the meat and i/8 tap cumin. 4 cups water, added 2 actress potatoes, 2 zucchini instead of chayotes and i extra carrot. Oh and added i/4 tap garlic salt for sense of taste preference. I didn't make whatsoever of the toppings because nosotros just ate it with some spanish rice and a bit of Louisiana. All in all took about 3 hours and AMAZING! This was SO good it exceeded my expectations. Great hearty soup. I made this on a common cold, rainy Sunday at virtually 3 and nosotros ate ate it for the balance of the twenty-four hour period! It was that practiced. Thanks for sharing!
03/11/2010
This was delicious! I live in a edge town and get to eat authentic mexican food and this recipe is as good as I have had. I didn't have chayotes and Cumin is a must in mexican dishes, so I added 2 tsp. when I added the onion. If you have spanish rice on mitt, add it to your bowl when serving. I'm so glad to have a Caldo recipe! It's a keeper. Thank you!!
08/18/2010
this recipe was so crawly, i just added more than h2o/broth, alot more potatos and threw in some chopped celery and about a tbsp of cummin. IT WAS DELICIOUS!
05/12/2011
All I tin can say is ABSOLUTELY UNBELIEVABLE!!! This was not only the most beautiful soup I've ever made, only by far the almost tasty! The lime and cilantro actually brand this soup, otherwise it just tastes like vegetable beef soup. Cumin besides is a necessity. Makes a lot, but so proficient. Looking forward to leftovers, equally I'm sure when the flavors sit overnight, will be even more succulent!
02/05/2011
This was merely like mom used to make! I added a tin of tomatoe sauce, and zuccini squash instead of the chayote.
08/09/2008
"Weston Price mode:" use beef os broth fabricated separately; apply tallow for frying onions; add up to four chopped roasted (and peeled) poblano peppers at the very terminate; garnish well with lime juice at the end. If you strip one-half the corn kernels from cobs and cut the rest of the cobs into 1" wide wheels, the soup thickens up as it cools and is easier top consume for potluckers. Also, attempt using fresh tomatoes not canned. Excellent!
01/24/2011
Wonderful on a cold winters night! I did equally suggested and cooked the meat for two-3 hours. Meat brutal off bones! I similar it a little spicier so I used a can of Rotel instead of obviously tomatoes. Worked wonderful. Had leftovers for almost a week! Volition def make again...probably next weekend! :>)
02/02/2010
I wish I could support the other reviews, just this came out completely bland. I used no water and all beefiness broth, but after calculation bouillon cubes, salt, cayenne, garlic, cumin, etc., nada could brand this a yummy soup. I did cook this in a crockpot, but I still browned the meat and onions first, which should have helped boost the taste. After two days of sitting (that ordinarily increases flavor) it was all the same banal. If you similar strong flavors, this may not be for you. Thanks anyhow.
12/29/2011
This was wonderful! My Hispanic friend fabricated this for me before but I didn't get the recipe. This was very close, though I don't think she uses tomatoes. I couldn't observe beef shank and so I used about a lb of beef marrow soup bones and then some other pound or so of beef stew meat. I too added jalapeno when I put in the corn and potatoes to give it a little kick and a bit of cumin as the other reviewers suggested. The flavor was superb, the broth to dice for. The So raved nearly it though he didn't "get" the corn cob in at that place. "What's that for? Information technology's like soup just with a big chunk of corn in at that place." I disagree and dearest the idea that while eating and slurping such deliciousness one tin can take a break and eat ane of my all fourth dimension favorite things: corn on the cob! Fantastic, five stars all the mode.
07/xi/2010
I seasoned a lilliputian more to taste only this is a slap-up base recipe!
03/02/2011
Just like my grandma used to brand! It does taste ameliorate and amend every day, and saving the corn on the cob for the last is the best part ! We never put irish potato in ours, used squash instead. I did add 2 tsp cumin, and used Rotel tomatoes. Hadn't had chayotes in years, they give just a slight chip of sweetness. Serviced with fresh cilantro, lime and fresh jalapenos if yous similar some spice. Thank you for this recipe, haven't had adept caldo in many years and can't wait to go far again !
eleven/16/2010
This was good, simply a scrap banal earlier calculation in common salt, cumin and a few other spices. The meat turned out super tender and tasty, merely the goop was really disappointing. I used frozen cut corn on the cobbs and didn't like that either. Too messy. Maybe next time I'll employ but regular kernals instead.
11/05/2006
I made this recipe exactly like it says and it was GREAT! The only thing that I would change is add a footling flake more than meat and slice the cabbage up in smaller pieces. Definately a keeper, I will make it once again real soon.
01/thirteen/2011
I really similar this soup - it is easy, I really didn't change anything except add together some cumin, and I pulled the fat off the bones before I cooked them. What makes it good is the fresh ingredients added at the concluding. I left the corn on the cob and cutting it into thirds like it said, it's like a little extra treat when you lot're through eating the soup. It is mild flavored - not spicy. The only affair I didn't add was the radishes, only considering I forgot to purchase them.
05/eighteen/2011
like, oh wow
03/xxx/2007
This soup was AMAZING! My beau rated it as "best ever," and that says a lot considering we make a lot of soup in our household. The only thing I changed was adding some extra broth because I similar brothier soups. This is one I'll brand again and again!!
09/28/2008
I make this in the crockpot and add 3-4 tbsp of butter to the pot. I serve information technology with fresh-squeezed lime and lemon. It is just like my favorites "mom-n-popular" Mexican eating house here in Texas. We dear it!
02/01/2012
This is a comforting, down dwelling house beef stew. There's no spice or seasoning other than the beef and vegetable season. Some would phone call information technology bland, simply I call information technology comforting. Not all Mexican dishes are loaded with spice.
02/18/2011
Yummy!
03/20/2009
This is meliorate than what I get at the restaurant. Simply thing I did different was I added 2 tsp of cumin.
02/25/2009
I love this soup ! Information technology tastes like the 'Cadillo soup' from my favorite Tex Mex restaurant. So flavorful and delicious ! I topped the soup with crumbled tortilla chips, and my boys loved it ! I didn't use Chayote. Instead I substituted with zucchinis.
xi/01/2010
And then GOOD. It is a must to use cumin, merely only 1/4 of a teaspoon
01/03/2010
This recipe is absolutely delicious! It was so easy and came out just like my grandma used to make in El Paso. I love information technology with a side of mexican rice, corn tortillas and lots of lime. Love it!
12/04/2010
This recipe is very much like what I grew up -- really yummy with one necessary change: to Have really tender meat (edible, actually) you accept to allow the meat simmer for iii - 4 hours. If yous made this soup and enjoyed it when barely cooked meat, then you'll love it them its falling off the bone!
12/16/2011
worth 10 stars better than most restraurants every bit written. I added 2 crushed garlic cloves because I similar garlic. Excellent taste like shooting fish in a barrel to make Very like shooting fish in a barrel to consume every bit a chief entree or soup before dinner I Love this soup
04/12/2011
This was sort of a "potpourri" soup. Some of this and some of that. Loved all the veggies. I cutting the recipe in one-half and it withal made enough for viii then I'g putting some in freezer for afterward.
06/28/2008
Make sure the potatoes are cut in small pieces so they can melt better, and side by side time i would put them a trivial earlier. I also added the knorr suiza seasoning and some cumin. This is a neat recipe!
07/27/2009
My family unit and I absolutely loved this dish! we just used kernel corn to make information technology easier to eat while hot. we besides used a couple more chayotes cause we love squash. as is said in hawaii 'broke da rima oris'
06/05/2011
I loved this recipe. Reminds me of the soup my mom used to make all the time. Caldo de Res is really from all over Latin America not merely Mexico :)
11/05/2010
I accept been making caldo since I can recall, just never like this.... the beefiness broth adds an excellent flavor to information technology.... I changed it a little I used beef chuck boneless and a bag of frozen corn I followed the balance of the recipe it is soo good my family loves mexican food and this was a true hit.
02/14/2009
I've made clado earlier and always so bland merely i tried it this was and wow was great cheers my family loved information technology;-)
02/01/2009
This is a great recipe because you don't demand to modify much. I used 1 lb of beefiness shanks (on the os) and 1 lb of lean stew meat. Since I used a force per unit area cooker, I adjusted the recipe to 4 cups of beef goop. Basically, I followed other pressure cooker stew recipes by dredging the meat in seasoned flower, and then browning in batches. Next, I sauted the onions and garlic. After the onions were browned, I added the diced tomatoes and beef broth. Cooked it for fifteen minutes later it pressured, so added the veggies and cooked for another 10 minutes. Information technology was thicker than most people may similar it, and then a few cups of h2o could take been added equally well. I personally like thicker soups, then loved the flavor.
01/04/2011
easy to brand and delish!
10/24/2010
I fabricated this as written and it was delicious. In the future, because I will make this again, I volition utilize a bag of frozen corn instead of on the cob. I will employ 1/two the cabbage and cut information technology and the zucchini into smaller pieces. I will double the cilantro added to the soup, add additional stew meat, and 2 packets sazon. Wow, I know it seems like I am changing alot but actually these changes will not alter the flvor of this delicious soup. It will brand it less messy to eat and my son likes extra meat. Cheers for sharing a corking soup.
01/26/2010
This was not bad!! I added cumin, as another reviewer suggested, too as a couple cloves of garlic, minced. YUM!!!!
01/04/2009
I made this terminal nighttime and my family loved it. Excellent recipe. Probably the best soup I've ever fabricated. I didn't use the beef bone, I used boneless flanken rib meat and cut it into 1/2 inch strips and information technology came out wonderfully.
06/24/2008
This turned out really proficient. My female parent-in-law was upset when she found out I was making caldo de res from a recipe, but when she tasted it she was perfectly happy!
03/09/2009
This is a wonderful recipe. I didn`t add tomatoes altogether with meat, merely later (~30 min. after meat simmering). I didn`t find chayotes, and so omitted them. Very good soup, volition make over again.
01/10/2011
I used two packets of sazon and craven instead of beefiness. I also only used a 1/4 head of cabbage and frozen corn instead of corn on the cob. It was delicious, but information technology does make a lot! I had leftovers after serving to 6 people
12/01/2006
great recipe! It was a big hit. I will definitely make this one once again.
05/31/2009
Information technology is best to have a soup base of operations for this soup, as it gives the soup more flavour. Please note, Caldo de Res Actually translates to "beef soup." This soup is a staple through All of latin america.
01/09/2011
Added: Lime Corn Tortilla Chips and Hot sause to give it a piddling kicking. It was delicious. Fabricated plenty to take to lunch for the week.
12/20/2007
Awesome!!! Added some ground comino and garlic powder and left out the jalapenos.
01/31/2011
Delicious! I utilise beefiness chuck cut into big chunks. I also make my own salsa to spoon into the soup. Serve with hot flour tortillas. Tastes improve the next 24-hour interval.
07/xxx/2008
Absolutely wonderful, we loved it. Information technology was very flavorful and salubrious. I did employ zucchini in identify of the chayotes and used frozen corn instead of corn on the cob. I am sure it would be great either fashion. Great recipe thank you!
12/31/2008
My wife is from El Salvador and 2 years ago her aunt made this soup, and then about 6 months subsequently I decided I was going to make this soup for the entire family. This recipe is at present a staple in our home and I brand it on a regular footing. This truly is a very user friendly recipe and delivers a wonderful soup that is even better the next day! Thanks, John
02/27/2012
This is a great recipe! My husband loves this and eats it with a lilliputian lime squeezed on top. I followed information technology to a "t". Simply amazing!!
11/07/2011
this soup was succulent, the whole family unit had seconds on a cold rainy day.changed a couple things, used big beefiness short ribs and zuchini instead of chayote.great stuff, enjoy
01/05/2009
My husband is from Mexico and he said this is exactly like the food he ate when growing up. I'chiliad from the US and this soup is freak'n good!
01/30/2012
This soup is fantastic every bit is and is well-deserved of 5 stars. I kicked it up a notch by adding half a teaspoon each of chipotle powder and cumin. I had also made a roast the day earlier which I diced and used as the meat. This will likely become a staple soup. Thanks!
02/22/2010
This is sooooooo adept! The recipe says to serve the basic in your basin but I pulled those out and the round fat and gristle that were attached to the bone. They just were not look flavory and I was already throwing a new dish to my family unit. I cooked pretty much as the recipes said with only the addition of some cumin (as other reviewers suggested) and a can of the HOT rotel. That one tin can gave the whole soup a nice kick. Plus, I probably added to the cooking time quit a bit merely making sure my meat and and then the veggies were tender. I used all the toppings suggested, I didn't need the jalepeno though because of the rotel. Was really surprised at how good the clasp of lime complimented the dish. This is an fantabulous dish, non typical, very surprising wonderful flavors.
10/24/2010
Excellent recipe, merely adjacent time I think I would add a trivial more meat.
07/04/2009
This has become our family unit's favorite during the common cold months. Thanks for sharing this recipe.
12/17/2008
Mom fabricated this for united states growing up. I've revised using brusque ribs and any cut of roast on auction. Simply enquire the butcher to cut into stew meat. I as well add celery stalks and bay leaf. Cumin is also necessary. I used wedges of cabbage at the stop and zucchini squash and information technology turns into a robust vegetable beef soup. Don't forget the corn on the cob, I go on some in the freezer. One more tip, we sometimes serve on peak of a scoop of white rice if we don't have enough soup. Deelicious
x/01/2009
Excellent
10/01/2010
Real comfort food & the recipe made PLENTY - plenty to share with a couple of friends and neighbors who all loved it.
12/01/2008
This was one of my favorite soups growing up. For beef, I employ beef brusk ribs and merely use shanks if the short ribs don't have enough meat on them. It gives it a ameliorate flavor, only you do need to skim the fat off the soup after it cooks(information technology'due south also easily removed subsequently the soup has been placed in the refrigerator). You demand to dark-brown the meat well for flavor before adding any liquid. This is a practiced Caldo de Res recipe and everyone who loves beef soup should attempt this at least once.
ten/10/2011
I was craving this soup, that my grandma used to make when I was a kid. Overall, made for an Amazing repast that reminded me of common cold sunday afternoons spent watching Sabado Gigante with my abuelita. I didn't requite information technology five starts because I idea it was a scrap bland when I followed the directions as is. Commencement off, I couldn't find beefiness shank at my local big box grocery shop, so I went with a small chuck roast augmented with cutting beef ribs. Instead of patently diced tomatoes, I used Del Monte diced tomatoes with dark-green chiles. I also added half a can of tomato sauce when I added the vegetables to requite it more color and flavor. Too, the chayote was too expensive for my gustatory modality, and then I went with zucchini squash instead.
06/15/2009
I agree with the other reviewers who said the recipe needs garlic and cumin. It is just a bones vegetable soup without those flavor notes. We also added oregano to give the soup more than of a Mexican flavor. Information technology is a delicious soup but gets four stars becase it lacks "Mexican" seasonings.
ten/18/2009
WOW! Great soup. I made a double batch for our Cooking lodge dinner. Information technology was a Mexican theme dinner and had fashion over 50 people testify upwards. I stayed as close equally possible to the recipe just had to make a few changes. I used 20oz of frozen corn instead of cobs. I idea with the small sample bowls the corn on the cob would have been a footling unmanageable and used zucchini instead of the chayotes. getting hungry once more writing this! I then added about 6 stocks of celery, 3 very big Russet potatoes, half a dozen medium carrots so added the cabbage. SPICES..... I didn't get too carried away merely when I tasted the soup towards the end I felt it but needed something more. I went light on the common salt from the beginning just then I could sneak up on it rather than finding out information technology was besides salty. I added about 5 beefiness bullion cubes (I already had six cups of beef broth in the pot) about 2tsps. Republic of chile powder, maybe 1tsps, of cayenne pepper, and most 2 Tbsp. black pepper. Information technology STILL demand something. I concluded up putting in a tsp of paprika and THAT did it! I should have listened to the ane reviewer that said this recipe would fill 8 Aztec warriors. My "doubled" recipe almost filled upwards my 16qt soup pot!! With over 25 dishes and pupus (Hawaiian for appetizers) there was merely too much food! And then I ended upward bringing almost 2 gallons of soup! Expert thing the soup was good and I really love leftovers. I'm sure information technology will freeze well. I paired this upwards with some wonderful honey cornbread from this site and got a l
02/06/2009
This was wonderful, merely I did substitute a few things since I didn't have evrything on mitt. I know I chopped my veggies into smaller pieces than the recipe chosen for. I used leftover roast that I had in the fridge and I used all beef goop instead of water. I really think what makes this outstanding is the fresh lime juice, cilantro and jalapeno peppers which I stirred in just b4 serving. Without these ingredients, it wouldn't be worth making. I volition make this again.
01/24/2008
This is an crawly recipe!!!
04/30/2012
i cannot stress enough how amazing this was! i fabricated every bit follows, but used nearly 75% vegetable broth, and 25% h2o. i couldn't find chayotes, then subbed zucchini every bit recommended. i volition definitely brand again... once i get through all these leftovers :)
07/21/2009
Very practiced. Didn't alter a thing.
xi/01/2009
So amazingly succulent ! Used ruby tomatoes in identify of the canned tomatoes because I had them on mitt.
09/04/2008
great
09/13/2011
Delicious... I merely had craven goop just added some beefiness flavoring in with the meats and it tasted just fine. Also added a fresh jalapeno and modest republic of chile when I put in the cabbage. The advice many people gave to add 1/4 t cumin was spot-on as well.
02/09/2010
First-class! We all loved it, great soup!
01/23/2009
This was first-class and was well worth the 3 or so hours it took to make.
02/02/2009
I love this soup, my mom has been making information technology for years and looking at the ingredients in this recipe, it'south very similar. Thanks for sharing!
03/14/2009
This was my get-go attempt at Caldo de Res... I was nervous making information technology. Hoping it would gustatory modality equally traditional equally my friends family brand it. information technology was perfect! i did a petty tweaking to suit my family's sense of taste and information technology was crawly! thanks so much for this!!! now i don't take to await until a friend brings information technology along or buy information technology at the local Mexican Market! thanks a bunch
03/15/2009
This was more flavorful than I expected. We used stew meat (we are lazy cooks), and it worked well.
08/12/2007
This recipe is very succulent and authentic. Honey it!!
01/23/2009
Too good for words!! Use a small head of cabbage tho. Otherwise, make exactly as is. Delicioso!!
eleven/eleven/2011
Best season soup I've had in a long time!!
06/23/2008
This is merely like my mother-in-constabulary used to make.
01/06/2013
This was out of this world! I substitited zucchini for the chayotes, and added a few seasonings (garlic, cumin, and Goya adobe seasoning). I also added a couple of squirts of lime juice from concentrate to the unabridged pot. Otherwise, followed to the letter, and it was to die for! I thought my picky eater would turn his olfactory organ up because of all the veggies, but he ate two bowls, which is saying a lot for him. Will definitely make again! Thanks!
08/ten/2008
This was a Dandy SOUP!!! My husband likes it to.
10/05/2009
This was a greatttt recipe!! It is perfect just the way it is. I did add 2 cloves of garlic to the pot and some cumin simply that is the merely matter I did different. I made spanish rice and warmed up some tortillas on the burner and my family ate this soup up!
01/14/2010
I loved this! I made information technology for my roommates and it filled them upwardly (which is rare)! Its very hearty!!! Too for you non-cabbage lovers out there we skipped that part and substituted an actress murphy with an extra cup of broth. Also Monterrey Jack is a great topper!!!
08/18/2009
Very, very athentic, but I agree, y'all must add cumin and a footling garlic!!! Our family unit loved it!
12/05/2011
THE BEST Cocido recipe out there ! I only enhanced it by calculation 1 Tablespoon of cumin. Just marvelous!
eleven/14/2007
Was easy to do and very expert.
